Knokke-Heist is a beach resort on the Belgian sea coast in West Flanders. The mayor, Count Leopold Lippens, made sure that worldly people feel home. Different clubs like tennis and golf clubs are available.

Knokke-Heist consists out of the proper centres of Knokke and Heist, with Knokke bordering The Netherlands.


Get in

The coastal tram (de Kusttram in Dutch) is the easiest way to reach Knokke-Heist by public transport. The tram line runs from De Panne near the French border to Knokke as final stop. One could take the train from Ghent or Bruges and transfer to the tram at Ostend, the railway and tram stations being next to each other.

Get around



In Knokke-Heist, you can enjoy different sport clubs, s.a. the Royal Zoute Tennis Club and the Royal Zoute Golf Club.
