• Lake Griffin State Park is a Florida State Park located two miles (3 km) north of Leesburg and 30 miles (48 km) south of Ocala on U.S. Highway 441, is home to one of the state's largest live oak trees. The park is unique in connecting to Lake Griffin, the Ocklawaha River and thence to the Harris Chain of Lakes, and is made up of 500 acres (2 km²) of swampland and hardwood upland. Activities include boating and canoeing, hiking, fishing, camping, and wildlife viewing. Among the wildlife of the park are Osprey, Bald Eagle, Blue Heron, Anhinga, Ibis, American Alligator, and River Otter. Amenities include a full-facility campground, a half-mile nature trail, a boat ramp that provides access to the Dead River, and a playground for small children as well as canoe rentals, a forty (40) site campground, and a picnic area. The park is open from 8:00 am until sundown year round.
• Lake Louisa State Park is a 4,372-acre (17.69 km²) Florida State Park located in the northeast corner of the Green Swamp and the southwestern shore of Lake Louisa. It is ten miles (16 km) south of Clermont, off County Route 561 on Lake Nellie Road and is made up of bald cypress, live oak and saw palmettos. In addition to Lake Louisa, the park contains Hammond Lake, Dixie Lake, Dude Lake and Bear Lake. Activities include swimming, picnicking, horeseback riding, hiking, camping, fishing, and canoeing. Amenities include a canoe/kayak ramp, 16 miles (26 km) of equestrian trails, and a primitive equestrian campground, as well as a 0.5-mile (0.80 km) nature trail, 20 miles (32 km) of hiking trails, fishing pier, canoe/kayak launch, and a picnic pavilion. The park is open from 8:00 am till sundown year round.
• Rock Springs Run State Reserve is a 14,000 acre (57 km²) State Park in the Lake County, Florida, located about 30 miles northeast of Orlando in Sorrento, 3 miles west of the Wekiva River bridge on State Road 46. The park contains a number of Indian mounds, pine flatwoods, swamps and artesian springs, and a number of creeks and rivers. Among them are Seminole Creek, Wekiwa Springs Run, Rock Springs Run, the Wekiva River, and Blackwater Creek. Activities include bicycling, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, hunting and wildlife viewing. Among the wildlife of the park are Florida black bear, Florida scrub jay, sandhill crane, indigo snake, gopher tortoise. Amenities include a canoe and kayak, rentals, swimming, tubing, about 17 miles of trails, access to the Rock Springs Run and the Wekiva River, primitive canoe and equestrian camping facilities. The park is open from 8AM till 6PM year round.
