Many of the houses in this part of Wales have names, and one in Nefyn is called Ty Ni. From the name, you might guess the size of the house!

Do

  • Nefyn hosts a carnival on the May Bank Holiday Monday. There is a procession through town led by drummers and dancers, followed by girls and boys dressed up as princesses and princes, riding in car boots and trailers. The end of the procession includes children and adults in fancy dress. The procession leads to the carnival yard, with car boot sales and children's play areas.
  • Nefyn has a maritime museum in a converted church.

There is a convenience store in town, Spar, where basic groceries can be purchased.

  • Caffir Penwaig. sells espresso drinks, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and breakfast and lunch food. The portions are large. Several versions of the local sandwich, called a bap, are sold here.
