Oak Bay
Oak Bay is a small town just east of Victoria. Though as a tourist you will have a hard time finding out where Victoria technically ends and Oak Bay begins, Oak Bay residents are very proud of their incorporated town, an older suburb of Victoria.
Get in
If you drive east out of downtown Victoria along Fort Street or Johnson Street you will find yourself entering Oak Bay. The best way to drive into Oak Bay is along Pandora Avenue, which turns into Oak Bay Avenue on the approach to the town centre. The #2 public bus travels frequently between downtown Victoria and Oak Bay. The #8 is much more infrequent and connects Oak Bay with suburban Victoria and Saanich.
Get around
The small village core is best explored on foot as it is only 4 blocks.

Do
- Walk around the town centre, situated along a few blocks of Oak Bay Avenue between Yale Street and Monterey Avenue. The village maintains a great "Olde England" charm.
- Visit the Oak Bay Marina where you can buy frozen fish heads to feed the local friendly seals with.[1]
- The most popular hangout place in Oak Bay is the expansive Willows Beach, located along Oak Bay itself. The beach is about a 15 minute walk northeast from the town centre, but can also be reached by vehicle and bus.

- The Blethering Place is an authentic feeling tea room on the corner of Oak Bay Avenue and Monterey Avenue.[2]
- Marina Restaurant. Is an upscle restaurant located at the Oak Bay Marina.
- Bon Sushi, 1467 Hampshire Road (Hampshire at Oak Bay Ave), ☏ +1 250 592-0008. Finally a sushi restaurant opened in Oak Bay in 2008. Authentic, no-frills, just good Japanese food.
