Oviedo is a city in Seminole County, Florida.

The population of Oviedo was 26,316 at the 2000 census. As of 2005, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 29,848. The city maintains a Sister City relationship with Oviedo, Spain.

Oviedo has become a "bedroom community" due to its proximity to the University of Central Florida. The city also has many historic buildings and houses. The city however is most associated with the chickens that roam Downtown.
