Somerville is the county seat of Somerset County in central New Jersey.

Understand[edit]

J. Harper Smith Mansion, 228 Altamont Place

Though the population of the Borough of Somerville numbers less than 18,000, it feels like a real city, with a substantial center focused on and around Main Street with considerable traffic, business activity and both historical and contemporary buildings. It is an attractive town with quite a few restaurants and shops, a beautiful old post office that's still in operation and a number of historic churches, well worth your checking out if you are in the area.
