Understand[edit]

Get in[edit]

NSW Trainlink trains connect Sydney to Armidale, passing through Tamworth and Uralla, as well as numerous other smaller stops.

If you're coming by car, then the New England Highway from the south from Newcastle or the Oxley Highway from the east are the two largest highways connecting the region. There are other smaller highways as well.

Get around[edit]

See[edit]

Do[edit]

  • Have a listen to some of the country music in Tamworth held in mid-January every year. The festival goes on for about ten days, and is Australia's largest music festival

Eat[edit]

Tamworth generally has a good variety of food available, including most aspects of Australian cuisine, including the ethnic aspects, however, other smaller towns generally do not have the same variety. Local specialties are not a huge thing in this region as well, as the region is not particularly known for its food.
