Well this is certainly another way of seeing travel.. I am sure that these sorts of lists could be made for a number of countries. I just wonder how it fits into travel topics. -- (WT-en) Huttite 05:48, 31 Jan 2005 (EST)

Funny, I just read about this yesterday... I also wonder if it's just a list for lists sake, but maybe it's just an everyman's World Heritage List? (WT-en) Majnoona 09:18, 31 Jan 2005 (EST)
Thanks for the comments, just starting out here. In relation to how it fits into travel topics, I honestly hadn't thought about it in any depth, but on consideration I think it might fit into the category of Sights. Maybe even writing up a guided tour from Big Thing to Big Thing (how to get from one to the next) might be appropriate to fit into the another way of seeing travel.. Unfortunately I've seen too many of these big things, however what prompted me for adding this list was from starting the Goulburn page. Would love more feedback on this. I started looking at another list of big things and discovered that what appear to be the vast majority of them are along the great dividing range, which just happens to be the place where most of the roads australian motorcyclists dream about are located. I'm currently planning a 7000km 3 week motorcycle holiday from Melbourne to Bundaberg and return to be taken in June 2006 where I shall visit as many of the Big Things as possible. Currently I have over 70 on my list and I am searching and finding more every day. —The preceding comment was added by 203.57.241.95 (talkcontribs)
Please capture these treasured memories for us all to see... I am excited to do a similar trip on my return to Australia.. —The preceding comment was added by 220.146.170.245 (talkcontribs)

Submarine[edit]

The submaring in Holbrook (New South Wales) is not a big thing, it is an actual submarine. No bigger or smaller than real thing. I'm removing it from this list. --(WT-en) Inas 21:02, 5 January 2009 (EST)
