Name of this article[edit]

What's the point of naming this article "Budapest/Pest Central" the title we display and the way we refer to it in the article is "Central Pest"? Texugo (talk) 19:32, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is my fait accompli sabotage as I find "Pest Central" to be incongrous. Revert at will if you find "Central Pest" awful and "Pest Central" brilliant. PrinceGloria (talk) 19:49, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have an opinion one way or the other as to which it should be, but I think there's no reason to have the article have a hidden actual title different from the one we actually display and talk about. Texugo (talk) 20:00, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
And how is it about the other names? Should I change to North Pest, East Pest and South Pest? Globetrotter19 (talk) 16:42, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'd say yes, as this is the usual word order in English, unless a particular name has entered common parlance. I never heard of "Pest Central" before we created it (and frankly, it sounds like a store you go to to get rid of crop-devouring vermin), so I believe "Central Pest" is the natural name for the part of Pest that is, well, central. Okay, I changed the name of the three districts on Budapest site. But, maybe you must to help me with the fourth, how could be rename the link from Budapest/Pest Central to Budapest/Central Pest. Thanks in advance. Globetrotter19 (talk) 07:51, 9 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Done. There is a button that says "move" next to "history" above the article - at least I have that option. PrinceGloria (talk) 07:53, 9 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Banks and supermarkets[edit]

Do we really need a list of those? I believe the list is still incomplete, so we are unduly promoting some generic sites in favour of the others for no apparent reason, and that pointing them out is not necessary in a travel guide. Sure it's good to know where they are, but we are becoming yellow pages (telephone book) by doing so. I am not sure if we have a strict policy against those, but I believe we simply don't do that for all other of our destination guides, save for ones to locations where a supermarket or bank is really hard to find.

I guess this also applies to pharmacies, as we certainly don't list ALL of them as of now, and when I needed one two weeks ago in BUD, I simply asked somebody and they told me to go round the corner. For shopping centres and markets I believe we are right to list them, as shopping centres satisfy many needs at the same place and often unique ones, and markets as such can be hard to find on one's own and require some description, as they are not generic.

I believe we need to list unique shopping opportunities in the "Buy" section rather, such as stores selling goods unique to the area, or otherwise unique, e.g. Hungarian fashion, design articles, or really good souvenirs (not the tacky souvenir shops like in the Vaci utca), or just great specialist shops, e.g. one of the greatest fishing stores in Europe (if the area has one). Do let me know if you agree or not - if there is no opposition, I will start removing the unnecessary supermarkets and banks, as our map is already cluttered with POIs. Just easy, but go ahead. And thanks to the prior info. - - Globetrotter19 (talk) 20:55, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
seconding the removal of supermarkets and banks, there are so many in the district listing them is totally pointless and an English speaker can always just ask someone.
