Mission: make this the best English-language site on the Expo on the Web. The English version of the official site is pretty bad and I've translated quite a bit from the Japanese version, esp. regarding getting in and around.

Any readers please beware that I'll only set foot in the Expo site on April 8th, so until then this is all speculation and data collation on my part... (WT-en) Jpatokal 17:44, 26 Mar 2005 (EST)

Been there, seen it and I want to go back! Quite seriously, I have never in my life experienced so many "holy fornication that is just insanely cool" moments in one day. (WT-en) Jpatokal 06:13, 10 Apr 2005 (EDT)

You've done it: best site on Expo2005[edit]

I'll be traveling from San Diego to Japan for three weeks of trave this summer and Expo is the main reason. thanks for a great site explaning some of the logistics of going. Expo 2000 in Hannover was great and I'm sure Expo2005 will be better. Any suggestions of how many days to be able to do it justice and where to stay that's neaby and cheap? I got a free ff ticket to arrive at NGO airport and there is not much info on travel to/from it on the web (yet?).

Two days at a minimum if you want to cover the more interesting bits. And Wikivoyage, of course, has articles on Chubu International Airport and Nagoya too! I stayed at Capsule Inn Nagoya, which is both nearby and very cheap, but not really suitable for multi-day stays. (WT-en) Jpatokal 17:52, 16 Apr 2005 (EDT)
