vfd discussion[edit]

This page should be integrated into India and than deleted. (WT-en) F16 01:06, 2 Mar 2004 (EST)

This page should remain where it is. There are way more than 7+/-2 states, so it would clutter the article. -(WT-en) phma 08:45, 2 Mar 2004 (EST)
Agreed. F16, you need to read up a little more on the Project:geographical hierarchy. --(WT-en) Evan 09:02, 2 Mar 2004 (EST)
  • List of Indian states and union territories. While we are at it... --(WT-en) Ravikiran 05:10, 7 Feb 2006 (EST)
    • Keep. These "list of" articles, although they're outside our normal hierarchy, provide a valuable release valve for pressure to list every canton (say) on the country page itself. They also are useful for making sure no canton, state, or country gets lost accidentally by shifts in the "container" articles. For example, I used List of Mexican states to help re-organize the hierarchy in Mexico. They also have low overhead, since they're just lists. --(WT-en) Evan 08:51, 7 Feb 2006 (EST)
    • Keep. They're very useful to keep isIn tidy. (WT-en) Simone 04:46, 9 Feb 2006 (EST)

Maybe it should be in [[Project:]] namespace, if its primary value is for contributors, not for readers? --(WT-en) DenisYurkin 15:39, 14 January 2008 (EST)

I agree, this (and other "lists of places") should be in the namespace, as is for example Project:World cities. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 15:43, 14 January 2008 (EST)
