Talk:London/Bankside

Bankside seems to have two meanings - the area between Southwark and Blackfriars Bridges, or that area and up to London Bridge (ie including Borough). I think we should probably add the few things in Borough as it makes it broader and they are all in walking distance. (WT-en) Caroline 20:03, 19 Jul 2004 (EDT)

So.. what to add:

  • Borough market (fri and sat for retail)
  • Vinopolis? But is is pricey...
  • The Golden Hinde? - but it's just a replica sitting on the river
  • The Jerwood Space is another industrial conversion into an art gallery. However the cafe is nice.
  • Fish! is on the tourist trail - but I imagine it is pricey. I've certainly never been in there.
  • The Millenium Bridge? Its just a modern footbridge, and it doesn't even wobble anymore. However it is a connection between Tate Modern and St Pauls.

Deletion nomination[edit]

Moved from Project:votes for deletion by (WT-en) Evan

  • London/Bankside - all information merged with London/South Bank. (WT-en) Caroline 07:02, 22 Jul 2004 (EDT)
    • Don't delete. If the names are interchangeable, or close to it, let's just make a redirect. --(WT-en) Evan 08:54, 22 Jul 2004 (EDT)
    • Don't delete; make into redirect. Bankside is a subset of South Bank but I think sufficiently close to justify redirection. -- (WT-en) Chris j wood 16:12, 22 Jul 2004 (EDT)
