LPR's role in the war on Ukraine[edit]
In Special:Diff/4489409/4523346
- "In February 2022 the Luhansk People's Republic invited Russian troops, which started a full-scale war on Ukraine together with LPR forces."
was changed into
- "In February 2022 the Luhansk People's Republic invited Russian troops, which started a full-scale war on Ukraine together with DPR forces."
Didn't Luhansk participate in the operation at that point? If they did, we should perhaps say "LPR and DPR forces". If LPR joined only later, we should say something about them joining the war at that point. Does somebody claim that LPR hasn't participated at all, other than allowing Russia to use their territory? I have at least heard about people in LPR being recruited by force to join the fighting.

What now?[edit]
Has the Luhansk People's Republic (and the DPR) ceased to exist? I assume the names should be changed, but as Ukraine controls part of Luhansk Oblast and Russia claims all of it, I don't know what name to choose. "Former LPR"? We should probably wait with major changes until we know what will happen to the administration, border formalities etc. Getting the former LPR de facto controlled by a Russian civilian administration will be a massive task, so I won't hold my breath. –LPfi (talk) 15:18, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
