UNESCO's article about the site --ϒpsilon (talk) 15:54, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Title change[edit]

The title is a bit awkward. Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution or Meiji Industrial Revolution could do. /Yvwv (talk) 02:53, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It's awkward, but it's exactly the English title of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is what this article is about. Moving it to Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution or Meiji Industrial Revolution would imply to me that it's an article about Japan's industrial revolution in general, not about the places that makes up the World Heritage Site. Maybe that's okay, and similar to Kentucky Bourbon Distilleries Tours, this article should talk about Japan's industrial revolution generally, pointing out these sites that make up the World Heritage Site, but also possibly mentioning others that are relevant but aren't part of the World Heritage Site.
Huh, okay, now that I've just typed all of that out, I think you've convinced me. Let's do it. If we're not constraining ourselves to matching the name of the World Heritage Site, how about simply Japan's Industrial Revolution? (It's not like they had more than one, right?) --Bigpeteb (talk) 02:16, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
