Merge and re-direct?[edit]
If this article had been developed at all, it would have been fine. However, after 6 years of non-development and the article only covering less than 2% of the 2074 km route of State Highway 1 (just three hops, skips and a jump between Moeraki and Dunedin), I think it's time to merge the limited new information provided here and re-direct.
If somebody ever decides to attempt 10% of a parallel route (difficult to to do in some parts of the South Island) then the two sister articles (Northward and Southward versions extist) can be re-created as stand-alones. -- Alice✉ 20:00, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
