Feel of article[edit]

This feels like a Wikipedia article to me, not a Wikivoyage article. Does any other Wikivoyage article have this style and layout? And can we get {{related|India}} not to say "sovereign state in South Asia"? That's an encyclopedic description. Sovereignty is not relevant to Wikivoyage, only de facto control. Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:10, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ikan Kekek To the {{related|India}}, it's not possible as the description is coming from Wikidata which uses an encyclopedic description. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 08:23, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, can we remove the template from the page? I mean, duh, obviously India is related. I'm astonished that it's not linked at the top of the page, but I still don't like the format of this article one bit and don't consider it a genuine Wikivoyage article, as currently structured. Ikan Kekek (talk) 12:00, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In addition to everything else that feels wrong with this long list, I mean article, having all the images on the left side is absolutely not Wikivoyage-style. Also, see Wikivoyage:Image policy#Minimal use of images. Ikan Kekek (talk) 12:03, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Removed. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 12:09, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Now, can we please fundamentally restructure this article? The list in two columns should be removed; we need to get rid of that "PREV/TOP/NEXT" template (where did that come from?); unjustify the photos that are currently justified right; put the links in the descriptive prose instead of the captions, which should be shortened; decrease the number of images per WV:Image policy#Minimal use of images, and unjustify the text which is currently justified center. I may have left something out. Ikan Kekek (talk) 11:32, 15 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Did a mass revision of the complete page - no PREV/TOP/NEXT - turned text to Markers - cut images by 2/3's - images to left - some textual changes - linked text box removed at beginning of page -- Matroc (talk) 00:59, 27 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, it looks much better. Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:30, 27 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I did a bit more, but it could still use work. Pashley (talk) 15:05, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

List out of date[edit]

According to https://whc.unesco.org/en/statesparties/in it seems that there have been new sites from Idea inscribed on the world heritage list. I would ideally update it myself, but I don't know India too well to do the descriptions. @SHB2000, Okay, I will do it. 2006nishan178713t@lk 08:51, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for volunteering. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 09:13, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes Done 2006nishan178713t@lk 11:41, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the update. As India has many cultural wonders with 40 on the tentative list, there is a possibility that this could go out of date, but I will try and remember to update this in August (?) if there are any new sites in India that become inscribed as a world heritage site.
