Image broken[edit]

The map image attached to this article seems to be broken, and I'm unable to fix it using either Firefox or Internet Explorer. The accented "é" in the image name seems to be the culprit -- it doesn't appear to have been created using a standard character set. Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this? -- (WT-en) Wrh2 17:38, 23 Jul 2005 (EDT)

That's weird.... It was displaying fine only yesterday when I edited the page.... I'm not sure that it is the accented character.... I just checked and the same image title root is used in Basse-Normandie, for example, which is still displaying properly... It's also working in the French Wikivoyage, which is the source of the images in the first place. A genuine mystery! (WT-en) Paul James Cowie 03:05, 24 Jul 2005 (EDT)
I just looked at Haute-Normandie and Basse-Normandie again, using Firefox rather than Safari..... and the accented e seems to have been altered to an e followed by an accent..... Very strange, as that's not how it started life when I placed it there many months ago.... Nor does it reflect the image names lifted from the French Wikivoyage. We haven't done anything to change the Unicode encoding of the database recently, have we, that might have compromised such accented image titles? Anyone? Even weirder, I just checked the Image List in the Special Pages and it seems to be displaying just fine there.... I'm stumped. (WT-en) Paul James Cowie 03:23, 24 Jul 2005 (EDT)
