Bleeding

[edit]
Bleeding at the bottom

I'm still seeing a very slight amount of bleeding between the bottoms of the two boxes. I think it appears more as the screen size increases. Can we make sure this doesn't happen even with very wide screens/high res displays? --Peter Talk 16:09, 10 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

We're probably going to have to radically redesign it to pull that off. -- Mark (talk) 19:17, 10 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
I fixed it, although it required switching to old-fashioned table layout instead of divs, which I know is evil, but actually works better for these sort of things (where you're trying to get two elements to have the same height and share a width evenly). Mobile display

[edit]

Any ideas why this does not display in mobile state on main page? If you select "Mobile view" in the template is shows but displaying mobile view on the main page, where it is called from, it does not. --Traveler100 (talk) 07:36, 12 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Looks like the template is excluded as Template:Bottomboxes used in Main Page/sandbox2 works. I think I will create a new template and swap as the parameters being passed could be better split for mobile. --Traveler100 (talk) 08:49, 12 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Created {{Bottomboxesm}} and now using this on main page. Same issue, works if called from other pages, such as sandbox of main page Main Page/sandbox3 (click on Mobile view at bottom of page from desktop browser, or view from smartphone), but not for the main page itself. What am I missing? --Traveler100 (talk) 14:18, 12 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
I have no clue what's going on. However, according to mw:Mobile_Gateway/Mobile_homepage_formatting#MFSpecialCaseMainPage, we are currently using an unsupported mobile main page. I can only think the problem is related. If it is not, then we should fix it, anyway. We will need to deprecate things like tables and switch to a responsive design to use the supported main page.
According to the page, we should focus first on moving all inline CSS and Common.css rules into TemplateStyles. ARR8 (talk | contribs) 03:20, 13 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
I have posted further about this at Template talk:WikivoyageSister#Responsive Design so discussion here can focus on issues with this template, in case the two issues are unrelated. ARR8 (talk | contribs) 04:56, 13 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
