Awkward wording

I'm in favour of any changes that make templates easy to update, even if that means I no longer understand how they work. The last changes generate the following text:

"As of Last updated 06 May 2017:"

Can this be changed to read just "As of 06 May 2017"? Ground Zero (talk) 18:38, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
