Me!
Hi, I'm Jock.
I have long wished to travel the world, but financial constraints have put a lid on that for the time being, so Wikivoyage is my outlet for those fantasies.
I'm a native resident of Australia, born in Brisbane and currently living in Melbourne, and I've seen a few other places on the eastern seaboard over the years (Armidale, Canberra and Nambour are the most prominent).
I'm also a passionate rail traveller. I believe that travelling by rail is one of the easiest and best ways to see a country, and take the opportunity to do this in any way I can. Okay, I'm a bit of a foamer as well. We can't all be perfect.
That comes, come to think of it, hand in hand with my addiction to photography. I maintain a somewhat-neglected page at TrekEarth, and an even-more neglected page at Photo.net, to this end. I get around to doing them up one day.
Docent
Even though I can't go off galivanting 'round the globe, I am more than willing to help those who can, and so I am a docent for the cities of Melbourne and Armidale, and for the country in which you'll find them, Australia.
