Regions[edit]

Zeeland is located on several islands, peninsulas and coastline land masses surrounding the massive delta of the confluence of the rivers Rhine, Meuse and Scheldt. The island of Walcheren is the heart of the region.

Regions of Zeeland
  North Zeeland (Schouwen-Duiveland, Tholen)
The most northern island and peninsula of Zeeland. The region is a good getaway if you're staying in South Holland.
Midden-Zeeland (Domburg, Goes, Kapelle, Middelburg, Vlissingen, Westkapelle)
The most urban part of Zeeland, yet outside of Middelburg and Vlissingen, the region is countryside. The peninsula and its islands are the only ones that can be reached by train.
  Zeeuws-Vlaanderen (Hulst, Terneuzen, Sluis)
The most southern point of Zeeland, and the only region in Zeeland to have never been an island. It connects very well to Belgium.

Other destinations[edit]

  • Delta Works — the dams and sluices that protect the land masses of Zeeland
  • Verdronken Land van Saeftinghe - A nature reserve located on the Dutch-Belgian border. The larger part of which is located in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen.

Planned changes[edit]

Current status[edit]

Final status[edit]

Goeree Overflakee is part of the Zeeland Delta, but not of the province of Zeeland, perhaps list it under Other destinations?
