Hello SBC-YPR! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. – (WT-en) cacahuate talk 05:12, 6 July 2008 (EDT)

Goa[edit]

Thanks for your edits to Goa, but I've added back the notice that the ferry to Bombay no longer operates; if it was "once popular", people may look for it. (WT-en) Jpatokal 13:06, 7 July 2008 (EDT)

Hey there! I'm not so sure creating that large table is the way to go for holidays... you may want to bring it up at Project:Manual of style if you want to start implementing something like that, it kinda takes up a ton of space – (WT-en) cacahuate talk 22:29, 23 July 2008 (EDT)

It's a great idea, but I agree with Cacahuate. The table takes up too much space and adds additional burden to people with slow internet connections. The holiday list on the Bhutan page is more standard, but at the same time equally easy to read... Please give it some thought. (WT-en) WindHorse 22:34, 23 July 2008 (EDT)
Hi, thanks for the feedback. I agree that both of you have a valid point there. But I was only trying to put the list in a more orderly fashion...at least it looks neater now, don't you agree? As to the Bhutan model, it would work here only if we deleted the detailed description of each festival...do you think that's a good idea? Open to suggestions. Hi, thanks for getting back to me on this. I agree the info you've added is really useful, but somehow the current lay out seems to overwhelm the article. Personally, I would just use the Understand section to list actual national holidays (For example, I don't think Christmas is a national holiday or even a big deal in India, except perhaps in Kerala, so would delete it). The 'Do' section can be used to add more detailed info about festivals - as in the Bhutan model. What do you think? (WT-en) WindHorse 23:19, 24 July 2008 (EDT)
