Air-con[edit]
This is not an important question, but I'm just curious why you think "air-con" is superior to "A/C". Both are abbreviations for "air-conditioned". Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:53, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hello - air-con is more common, and also A/C is sometimes used for mains electricty (as in AC or DC)
- Actually A/C is air condition. I never remember seeing Alternating Current written with a slash in between. AC/DC means alternating current/direct current, and one of the greatest rock bands ever have taken their name from that. ϒpsilon (talk) 09:50, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
- Actually A/C is air condition such a definite statement is incorrect. There may be geographic differences in common use, for example A/C in the US, but although A/C for air conditioning is common in cars, in hotels, apartments, etc. air-con is by far more common in Asia. - Certainly in many parts of Asia, but I've seen air-con frequently in India.
