To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikivoyage:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.
By the way, have you considered creating an account here? While you can absolutely keep contributing as an anonymous user, it promises a bunch of benefits, and no obligations.
Re:On Creating A Wikivoyage Account To Take Credit For Pages I Made
はじめまして, Naoki! あけましておめでとう！And welcome! Thanks for your contributions to the Manchu and Kalmyk phrasebooks. To see what we mean by "credit", have a look at the history page of the Kalmyk phrasebook. See all those lines where it says "220.127.116.11"? Those are your contributions. They appear as anonymous contributions, and if one day you edit from a different computer or network, or your IP address changes, there will be no way to link those contributions to you, and another person may even end up with that IP address, making it look like the edits were theirs. If you create a user ID, your future contributions will appear credited to the user name you choose, no matter where in the world you access from, and it will link back to your personal user page where you can introduce yourself, and to your personal Talk page, where people can contact you. For example, look further down on that history page I linked above, and you'll see a contribution I made to that page in October 2013, with my user name, talk page, and a link to all the contributions I have made over the years. You will also be able to sign your talk page posts with the same information, as you can see in my signature at the end of this post below... It's quick and easy to make an account, and there's really no reason not to! Once you do, it won't retroactively put your user name on your old IP edits, but any future edits you make when logged in will be credited to you like that. Hope this helps! This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
