Hello, Joseph2701! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

And thank you for your edits to Berlin district articles as well as the article on Termoli you created! Hobbitschuster (talk) 12:00, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the "price" field[edit]

While many printed guides (and perhaps other language versions of WV) use "$" or "€€" as a shorthand for the relative level of price, we at en-WV much prefer exact numbers. Let's say a gelato place sells ice cream for 1.50€ a scoop; saying that directly is much more helpful for most travelers than trying to figure out whether that qualifies as "€" or "€€". Not least because what may be cheap in Switzerland may not be considered cheap in Suriname - and our readers do really come from all sorts of places.
