Hi. Please explain this edit further. Are you eliminating Spanish names in favor of Catalan names only? If so, how does that help the traveler? If not, what are you doing? I ask not as an expert in Spanish or Catalan (which I obviously am not), but as someone who wants readers who know neither language to be able to find towns by not just one name but both names that they are known by. - I've made this change first of all because there were numerous names that were spelled wrong. Secondly, all names on street signs, highway signs, GPS, paper maps, business cards, etc. use the Catalan spellings which are actually the original spellings. The Spanish names were artificially created during the Franco administration to "Spanify" Spain but haven't been in official use for 30 years now. Even speakings of Castilian use the Catalan names. Putting any reference to anything else is just confusing.Primecoordinator (talk) 08:35, 22 May 2014 (UTC)

I would say that in that case, the names of the articles for the towns, except when there is a different name established in English-language usage, should be in Catalan, but with redirects from Spanish names some readers/travelers might know. - I can't think of a single place that has an English name, but fair enough. If you're going to do Castilian redirects, then you should do French ones as well given that they have their own names for the towns as well such as Girona being Gerona in Castilian and Gerone in French. Port Bou for instance is just Portbou in French and there are countless more that I don't know off the top of my head. May seem stupid on an English language site, but if you're coming from France by road or rail, these are the names you'll see.Primecoordinator (talk) 08:58, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
