Edit summaries[edit]

Hi, User:Schlauer Adler. It's not obligatory to always type an edit summary when you make an edit, but it's certainly useful to give a brief explanation when you do something controversial or otherwise not self-explanatory, such as changing someone's explained edit back. And just in case you haven't been doing so, please have a look at edit summaries, when others type them up.

All the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:56, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

And I'd like to add thanks to you for adding a lot of content! Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:57, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Impressive work![edit]

You seem to have traveled widely. Have you spent a lot of time in Yemen? Ikan Kekek (talk) 15:24, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I have travelled to most countries in Europe, Northern Africa and Asia (including some countries off the beaten track, as Turkmenistan and Tajikistan). I was four times in Yemen as a tourist, I did not live and work there. Yemen was one of my greatest travel experiences with many items which make travel interesting: a spectacular scenery with mountains and desert, fascinating old monuments ranging from 4.000 years old water irrigation works at Marib over "skyscraper"-like buildings in Hadramaut to the old town of Sanaa which was one of the first to be recognized as UNESCO World heritage, and - extremely friendly people. Unfortuantely travel to Yemen cannot be recommended at the moment in view to mass demonstrations, all kind of unfriendly attacks and frequent kidnapping of foreigners, but I sure hope that sooner or later the troubles will be over and travelling to the Yemen will be possible again. Best wishes

Best wishes back to you. I really do hope to visit Yemen someday, even more so, given your remarks. Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:28, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
