Please don't list a hotel in more than one article! LtPowers (talk) 23:53, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That's much better, but please read Wikivoyage:Welcome, business owners for some very important information. LtPowers (talk) 01:20, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In addition to the Wikivoyage:Welcome, business owners page suggested above, you should also read our policy on rental listings. I'm the only Wikivoyage user from Polk County (and most of Central Florida, for that matter) and so, regarding the consensus on the talk page, consider that approved (since no one else will probably see any discussion & add a view...and there are plenty of rentals in the Davenport/Poinciana/Kissimmee area). However, all listings (not just "sleep", but also attractions, restaurants, etc) can only be placed on the page in which they are located. From Don't tout: "Don't list the same place many times...businesses should be listed in only one article for the town or district in which the business operates" (or in the case of rentals, their physical location).

From the website, this appears to be Davenport (Florida), correct? Your properties should, therefore, not be listed on Orlando, Kissimmee, or other nearby pages. Furthermore, individual business listings (restaurants, hotels, and such) do not get placed on regional pages. This was the reason I had deleted your listing on the Polk County (Florida) page. The "sleep" section on a regional page should only describe types of accommodations (and occasionally mention a landmark/important listing). The reason these policies exist is to keep pages clutter-free. If every hotel/rental in the Orlando area (from Sanford to Davenport) listed on the Orlando page, it would have 1000 listings and visitors wouldn't be able to discern where these listings are located.

Regarding the repeated removals of your rentals on pages, this was because there are only a dozen or two active editors here on Wikivoyage to sift through thousands and thousands of new edits on this site in the past few days. This means that most of us are looking at the new edits and reverting/removing ones that don't meet our policies, while leaving short descriptions as to the reason. Seeing a rental listing with no address made it seem as if your listing was for an agency with dozens of properties that just advertises properties for clients (listing for such agencies don't get listed on WV). But since you have just a couple properties in the same town, that's not a concern. Sorry if this has left you frustrated/irritated. I will edit/change your listing on the Davenport page to meet our rental listing policy...include phone number (it should include the address for property manager or properties themselves). If you have any disagreements/questions/concerns, please leave a message below this comment. AHeneen (talk) 05:15, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I fixed the formatting issues & added a brief description. If you decide to edit this description, it should stay short (again, see Wikivoyage:Accommodation listings)...don't list nearby attractions (our guiding philosophy is that readers/users of WV guides can glean that from knowing where the destination is...ie. Davenport is near Disney/Orlando) and don't give long/flowery descriptions. Again, sorry if the removal of your properties has left you frustrated, but there's good reasoning behind our policies and it takes valuable time to respond in detail to every fix (beyond a description like "reverted per Accommodation listings policy").
