Hello, welcome to Wikivoyage, but please read welcome, business owners and don't tout before you consider posting a new listing in the Málaga guide, and under no circumstances would it be OK to include a lengthy introduction in it. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:08, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ikan Kekek, thank you for your welcome and the useful links. I´ve read them and I really appreciate your help as always, we already got a discussion on that topic here talk.

I registerd at wikivoyage to contribute with quality content and to inform travelers about our value-added activity in Málaga. Could you please specifiy your concern about the articel I posted. As I understand the guidelines, there shouldn't be any violation of don't tout in the articel posted. The first part of the the articel is a general information about Treasure Hunting and Geocaching activities in and around Málaga. The second part is to clarify what to expect of a Sightseeing Treasure Hunt as readers may not be familiar with this kind of activity as they are for example with ordinary bike tours which you allow to publicate on wikivoyage.org.

If you agree I can transfer this discussion to the general Málaga discussion page as stated in the guidelines.

Thank you so much for your contribution to keep that platform with quality only content.

Best regards Matthias Kriebel CEO i cachr Málaga

Here's the link to the reversion. Would someone else please handle posting a detailed critique of the intro and listing while I'm on the road? But just quickly: Never use words like "ideal" in a listing, and make your listing purely descriptive, and as I mentioned, with no long introduction. Hola Ikan Kekek, thank you for your work, we appreciate that. Don't worry, if you are busy at the moment we can postpone the work on the posting as we as well got some work to do. We'll reach out for you. Enjoy your trip and best regards Treasure Hunt Málaga

User:THM, I looked at the edit that Ikan reverted, and agree with his decision. I think you should read read welcome, business owners and don't tout again, and then try writing a brief, objective description of your activity, and then we can comment on that. What you added to the article is just too much. Ground Zero (talk) 14:34, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, I think the listing itself was fine, if a bit wordy. What was more problematic was the (unlistingified) "Treasure Hunting" entry under "Do", which was comprised mostly of 1) a lengthy explanation of geocaching as a concept (that kind of info would be fine for a Geocaching travel topic, if that's ever upgraded from a redirect to a bona fide article), and 2) a lengthy discussion of your specific business, which was both redundant to the info in the listing and, when in the context of a general discussion of geogaching in Málaga, also crosses the line into touting. Please do see the two policy pages Ground Zero linked to above. -- AndreCarrotflower (talk) 15:13, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks AndreCarrotflower for your precise feedback on the post. As we are at the moment preparing ourselves for the Málaga young entrepreneurs prize I will re-write the general post on Geocaching in Málaga by next week, if thats possible. Personally as a passionate Geocachr, I am convinced that Geocaching is an alternative travel activity especially for families travelling with kids.

Furthermore, I changed a bit the description of our listing and post it here for your comments: i cachr Málaga is a startup company and pioniers in Treasure Hunting Events in Málaga. They offer a Sightseeing Treasure Hunt for tourists and tailor made team building events for companies. Equipped with a treasure hunting bag, a treasure book with information and recommendations and a modern GPS-compass you explore the historical centre of Málaga, search for hidden items and solve challenging riddles to find the secret treasure. Tours last 3-4 hours tour, you are in your private group and do the treasure hunt at your own pace. i cachr Málaga offers a discount for travelling families. I appreciate your critics and we are looking forward for an quality listing at wikivoyage.org Best regardsTreasure Hunt Málaga 9:40, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

The text above looks OK to me. Will anything else be in the "content" part of your listing? If not, you may be good to re-add it now, though just for your information, "pioneers" is spelled the way I put it in quotes. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:49, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Ikan Kekek! It is no re-added with the spelling correction. All best Treasure Hunt Málaga 9:58, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
