Zülpich is a small town dating from Roman times located near Cologne and Bonn. Its Roman name was Tolbiacum.

Zülpich can be reached by local trains from either Euskirchen or Düren. Details from Deutsche Bahn.

By bus[edit]

Both Stadtverkehr Euskirchen[dead link] and Aachener Verkehrsverbund offer services to Zülpich.

By car[edit]

From the A1 Autobahn, travel west from Euskirchen. From the A4 Autobahn, travel south from Düren.

  • Wassersportsee Zülpich (Water sports park) (south of the town, near Lövenich village), +49 2252-95151. 10:00-18:00. Local open-air water sports park, offering sailing, canoe and windsurf lessons. Also diving instruction. Adults €3, children €1, boat/canoe/surfboard rental extra.
