Carrazeda de Ansiães is a town of 6,400 people (2011) in Alto Douro wine region of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, northern Portugal.

Carrazeda de Ansiães (kuh-rruh-ZIH-duh d(ih) uhn-see-UHNEESH, /ka.ʁɐ.ˈze.dɐ dɨ ɐ̃.si.ˈɐ̃jʃ/) municipality has 6,373 residents (2011), with about 1,700 in the town itself.

The nearest motorway is the A4 (Autoestrada de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro), from which the IC5 road provides access to the town.

Much of the town's architecture dates to the late 19th century, and it has some medieval structures that highlight the region's history.

  • The Church of São Salvador (Igreja Matriz de Ansiães/Igreja de São Salvador/Igreja de Ansiães), dating to the 13th century, was built in the Romanesque-style, identifiable by its ornate entrance portico with sculpted images of the four evangelical saints in granite.
  • Many of the villages in the area are dotted by pillories marking the administrative authority of kingdom, including the pelourinho de Ansiães (the oldest) dating to the 15th century.
  • The 18th-century pillory of Carrazeda de Ansiães was erected after Ansiães was substituted as the municipal seat.
