Mount Hamiguitan

Mount Hamiguitan Range Wildlife Sanctuary is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Davao Oriental, Philippines.

Landscape[edit]

As the name reveals, the park comprises Mount Hamiguitan and the surrounding region. The highest mountain, Hamiguitan, is 1,620 m (5,310 ft) above the sea level.

Flora and fauna[edit]

Flora-wise, the highlights of the sanctuary are its unique pygmy forest and its wealth of carnivorous plants (nepenthes). The wildlife sanctuary is a habitat for the critically endangered Philippine eagle.
