Reshun is a village located on the left bank of Kunar River, in Upper Chitral District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

Reshun is mentioned in Nizari Ismaili Pir Sabzali’s travel diary, in which he details his journey to Central Asia under the assignment of Aga Khan III Sir Sultan Mohammad Shah. Pir Sabzali describes the majlis that he experienced in the region of Reshun, held in devotion to the contemporary Ismaili Imam, as well as to the famous Persian luminary, Nasir-i Khusraw. [1]

Climate[edit]

The prevailing weather conditions in the area are characterized by a cold and moderate climate. It has been observed that Reshun experiences a greater amount of precipitation during the winter season as compared to the summer months. This climate is considered to be Dsb according to the Köppen-Geiger climate classification. In Reshun, the average annual temperature is -1.4 °C | 29.4 °F. Precipitation here is about 559 mm | 22.0 inch per year.[2]
