[edit]- 8 Oldest oak in Poland. South of Bagicz, some 4 kilometres (2 miles) from Kołobrzeg, this over 800-year-old oak tree stands in the large forest east of Kołobrzeg. Dated in the year 2000 as the oldest oak in Poland, it was named Bolesław to commemorate the king Boleslaus the Brave. A storm in 2016 managed to make the oak tree fall down. It is still lying there and surrounded by protection wires to protect it from any vandalism. As of 2022, the oldest still standing oak tree in Poland is Jan Kazimierz in the village of Bąkowo in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodeship.
