Some of the items in the Eastern Highlands Cultural Centre and Museum
  • 1 Eastern Highlands Cultural Centre and Museum. is best known for its pottery, and is one of the highlights of the Highlands. The clay used for these locally manufactured pots are all acquired locally from different areas of the Highlands region and until recently preparing the clay for use was a time consuming process, using only simple plaster beds. It wasn't until 1994 where new equipment substantially reduced the time to make these. Kainantu#Eastern Highlands Cultural Centre and Museum on Wikipedia
