Hatra
Hatra is a ruin in Northwestern Iraq. It has suffered damage at the hands of ISIS, though most of the buildings are reportedly still intact.

[edit]At the time of the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq there was one inn, the Al Hadr Hotel, about 1 km (0.62 mi) from the Hatra ruins. Much has happened since then. Due to Hatra's isolated location, do not assume lodging to be available – the next city of any size may well be more than a hundred kilometres/miles away.
