The Cold Winter Deserts of Turan is a UNESCO World Heritage Site made up of 14 deserts in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Understand[edit]

These deserts across Central Asia do not only have hot summers, but also very cold winters. Here you can experience flora and fauna that has adapted to the extreme conditions, and as the desert areas are spread out over a large geographic area, they have different ecosystems.
