  • 2 Saroornagar. This lake is a pleasant space for young couples to spend their evening. It has large pedestrian spaces, and abundant lighting at night. One side of the lake is lined with a solid wall, with a two-lane undivided road on the wall which is neat and exciting to drive. A problem is 'eutrophication' which is caused due to water hyacinth. The lake smells sometimes, but that is the nature of any urban waterbody. An important event that takes place here is Vinayaka Chaturthi (a Hindu festival in which Lord Vinayaka's statues are immersed in water). All roads lead here on the day of the Lord Ganesh's nimajjanam. Saroornagar Lake (Q7371574) on Wikidata Saroornagar Lake on Wikipedia
