Paragliding and related activities are quite developed in Kosovo with many clubs started after the war. Kosovo has limited use of the airspace for sports aviation after the war, with paragliding being an exception.

Understand[edit]

Activities are run under several clubs under the umbrella of the Aeronautical Federation Kosovo. Activity takes place in 13 sites which include sites near Prishtina (Golesh and Kukaj), Prizren (Kabash), Peja and Istog at elevations from 550 to 1,800 m.

Flying in tandem starts from €30 for a 15–25-min flight.

History[edit]

While Kosovo has a history of aeronautical sports post-WWII, after the 1999 War aeronautical sports experienced a resurgence.

Aeronautical Clubs[edit]

The Aeronautical Federation Kosovo represents and protects the interests of sport aviation clubs from all over Kosovo. The Federation also offers a paragliding school.
