- Watermelon Festival, Jeff Davis Park. An annual event that takes place every summer. The Watermelon Festival celebrates Oklahoma's official state vegetable, the watermelon. Activities include seed spitting competitions, Watermelon Queen coronation, arts and crafts fair, live music and food vendors. Plenty of watermelon is available for tasting and purchase.
