Hey, nice start! I love Avalon -- great town. Haven't been there in years, though... --(WT-en) Evan 18:14, 7 Dec 2003 (PST)

Vacation Rentals[edit]

I would argue that Avalon is an example of an exception to Wikivoyage's general apartment listings policy. Short-term/transient vacation rentals are so popular as an accommodation for visitors that the City Council adopted an ordinance regulating their use [1]. Rentals are typically for a week or less, and are used as alternatives to hotels or hostels.

I'm new to this project, so I'm not sure the most appropriate format for including information about companies like Catalina Island Vacation Rentals [2], so help from a veteran of the project would be appreciated.Mcd51 (talk) 01:05, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. As per the apartments listing policy:
Agency listings must include a local address with a phone number that specifies the physical address at the destination for picking up the keys, managing the property and/or resolving rental issues. This address must also be prominently displayed on the agency web site. Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:26, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
