I just came back from Chinde yesterday. It is an adventure to go there. The only enjoyable thing is the 3 hours boat ride (If there are no waves) otherwise it takes 3.5 hours with waves. Again that is with a speed boat.

local commercial boats will take you about 13 hours sailing!! So unless you want to have that experience, please don't take these boats. Besides passengers they will pile up some goods (You can immagine how unconfortable it is for over 10 hours).

While in town just concentrate on your mission and get ready to leave whenever you can. There is nothing to do in Chinde. When its dark just go and sleep. Unless you have brought a small player and you can enjoy and dance some music, and perhaps some local chaps may come and admire you!!
