Indigenous Daitoic really exist?[edit]

I have never heard of "indigenous inhabitants" in Daito islands. As far as I know, all the three islands were uninhabited until the immigration from Hachijo island started. (Official website of the village council clearly states so. [1]) There were immigrants/workers from Okinawa mainland as well, so it's quite likely there have/had been a discrimination or a confrontation between those two groups, but does "indigenous Daitoic" really exist? What is the source of that information? (The word Daitoic yields only 1 Google hit, by the way.) 218.110.51.72 17:13, 22 July 2006 (EDT)

218.110.51.72 was me. Since no sources are provided yet for the existence of the "indigenous inhabitants", I'm going to delete the paragraph in question. If there is a convincing source for that claim despite what village councils' say [2] [3], please cite. (WT-en) Kzaral 03:21, 21 January 2007 (EST)
