Fan reef is small, and there is not much more to say about it. It is close to star status by the applicable criteria.
Accurate values for depth on the surrounding sand at a few points may be useful, and perhaps a couple of spot heights on the reef.
Further work which could be done would include mapping the nearby North Fan Reef. This could be a separate site, or could be combined with Fan Reef, depending on how big it turns out to be. (WT-en) Peter (Southwood) Talk 07:58, 29 October 2009 (EDT)
