Featured article?[edit]

This article is nominally at Guide level. What does it need to be nominated at Dotm? Would it be Destination of the Month, or Off the Beaten Path? / Yvwv (talk) 23:43, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This article is clearly unsuitable as you can see from looking at it. Ground Zero (talk) 00:41, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So, which improvements are needed? /Yvwv (talk) 00:57, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Have you looked at the article? Ground Zero (talk) 01:42, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Which improvements are needed? /Yvwv (talk) 12:01, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you had looked at the article, you would know that most of the listings are very out of date, and wouldn't be asking. Asking questions whose answers are obvious isn't a good use of anyone's time. Ground Zero (talk) 13:41, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
An appropriate and straight-to-the-point answer for my first question would be "The listings are very out of date". /Yvwv (talk) 14:06, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
An appropriate and straight-to-the-point answer could be found by looking at the article before asking the question. You have posted the same question on a few other articles, and got the same answer each time. Ground Zero (talk) 14:14, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't find the text "the listings are very out of date" anywhere in the article, and I have not asked the question for this article since yesterday. /Yvwv (talk) 14:20, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you look at the date stamps on the listings, you will see that they are out of date. You don't need someone else to do that for you, so why would you ask? Ground Zero (talk) 15:39, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It was very simple for you to give the answer "the listings are very out of date". If that was your first reply, the rest of the conversation would have been unnecessary. /Yvwv (talk) 15:44, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your question was unnecessary because you could see for yourself. Ground Zero (talk) 15:47, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I cannot magically see which requirements you or someone else would have for a featured article. /Yvwv (talk) 15:51, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have provided the same comment on other articles where you have asked the same question: Talk:Saintes, Talk:Spokane, Talk:Yurihonjo, Talk:Ko Lipe, Talk:Ames, Talk:Bagan, Talk:Nature Park Bulgarka, Talk:Bandelier National Monument, and Talk:Minot. And User:Ypsilon asked this question at Talk:Quito. If you don't read the replies to your questions, why do you post them? Ground Zero (talk) 16:17, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Because every article should be evaluated individually and objectively. Your replies have been increasingly sarcastic in a way that does not promote improvement of articles. /Yvwv (talk) 16:21, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Evaluating an article starts with reading it. In reading it, you would notice that listings are out of date. Ground Zero (talk) 16:25, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You keep getting the same answer to your question, so maybe you should look at the article before asking the questions. Copying and pasting the same question across a bunch of talk pages doesn't improve articles. Updating listings in articles, as I did at Iquitos and as I am doing at Stratford (Ontario), does improve articles. Ground Zero (talk) 17:06, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
