Population[edit]

- It's well over half a million and probably not that much short of a million with all the recent arrivals. BushelCandle (talk) 11:35, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
- This is from w:Port Sudan, for whatever it's worth: "As of 2007, it has 489,725 residents."
- That seems to be the most recent statistics I can find in a web search. When is the last time Sudan did a census? Perhaps a search in Arabic might turn up more recent statistics. If you do one, please tell us what results you found. (Also, on talk pages like this one, please sign your posts by typing 4 tildes [the ~ key] in a row at the end.)

- Some, and some from Yemen but the largest number "flying under the radar" are Somalis with a smattering of Eritreans who definitely took the wrong route. BushelCandle (talk) 11:52, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
