What is the matter with this banner? I've tried filling the {{pagebanner}} template with both Mena-asia_default_banner.jpg and Pagebanner default.jpg, but to no avail. The huge and ugly custom banner is still visible several hours later. Is this a bug, or should I just be patient?

@Ibaman: This banner has been in place since the article's creation last year, so it's not a continuation of the edits we were discussing yesterday, but perhaps you understand the problem? --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 15:22, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The problem was that the ugly banner was listed on Wikidata (wikidata:Q377396). I've removed it from there, so now the default banner is displayed as desired. —Granger (talk · contribs) 16:06, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Right, I understand. Thank you for sorting that out, Granger. Not sure it's such a good idea for Wikidata to be in charge of things like that; aren't we the only project that uses pagebanners? Nonetheless, if something like this happens again, I'll know what to do thanks to you. Cheers, --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 17:18, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I believe the reason for using Wikidata for pagebanners is to share them between Wikivoyage in different languages. But it does seem to add some extra difficulty when trying to figure out what's going on with a weird banner. —Granger (talk · contribs) 17:21, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
