"even by Russian standards, with very corrupt officials. They will, however, probably be thrown off by rare Western tourists and avoid extorting bribes.'"

Ignorant and biased opinion that is not remotely truth to many people opinion. —The preceding comment was added by (WT-en) 75.118.148.170 (talkcontribs)

I did write this, and while it is clearly biased and subjective, and perhaps anecdotal, I disagree that it is ignorant. I was in transit at the MinVody airport, where the whole plane was detained for 30 hours while the entire plain full of travelers were made to pay bribes! Three passengers did not pay bribes, including myself, and we were the three non-CIS nationals on the plane. That too was clearly no coincidence—we were sent to a separate room for a confused interrogation after they refused to take our bribes! Anyway, since this is rather anecdotal, I'd happily re-write the section towards something more boring, but it should be noted that the MinVody airport officials are corrupt, and that it is not a nice airport in terms of facilities. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 03:48, 6 June 2008 (EDT)
