"There's a restaurant called *Lucky*. It was the only time in a 6 months stay that we were disrespected by the locals. The food was also horrible and the owners were very rude. This Restaurant was one of the most famous in Surat Thani many years ago but has declined rapidly in recent years and persisten rumours of drug addiction and abuse have driven customers away."

Chayo Bar seems to be gone

Last night I wandered around for a couple of hours around 10/11 pm looking for Chayo Bar in the "new" location around the entrance to the transport hub.

Of the people I asked, only two seemed to know which bar I was talking about, and both said it was closed. I kept looking anyway in case of misunderstanding but came to the conclusion it's really gone.

If I'm wrong it would be a good idea to improve the directions when reinstating the listing. &mash; Hippietrail (talk) 08:37, 24 August 2013 (UTC)

Price categories for restaurants?

I tend to think that with this short a list of restaurants, dividing them by price (Budget, Mid-range, Splurge) and then describing the cuisine in the "description" tab could be more helpful to more people. It also has the virtue of being the default subdivision of "Eat" sections on this site. Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:13, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

Districts

Normally, cities which don't require separate district articles have no section on districts. If it's useful for travelers to know about districts, nevertheless, there can be an "Orientation" subsection of "Understand", but the "Districts" section in this article has no clear orientation information. Not to be mean, but it seems like encyclopedic trivia, not information useful to travelers. Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:52, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
