Table or not?[edit]

Am considering to do a table, similar to how SelfieCity did it in United Kingdom national parks. Thankfully, unlike New South Wales national parks, there's only 19 to do, not 225 (which is why I never added a table(s) in the first place for the NSW article), but would like to get a second opinion before starting. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 07:28, 29 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

And if I do end up doing a table, should it be the format used in Canadian national parks or United Kingdom national parks, with the key difference being that one has UNESCO World Heritage Sites coloured in blue while the other doesn't. Also with tables, would it affect the mobile view (I believe ThunderingTyphoons! said that tables aren't user friendly on mobile sometime ago)? SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 06:57, 30 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
It depends how many columns the table has, but it doesn't take many (I think maybe 4 or 5) in order to mean they don't all fit on the page and you have to scroll left and right all the time.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 10:20, 30 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
I could probably either keep it at three, with one having the name, the second having the photo and the third having the description omitting the year it was established (as it's not really relevant to travellers), and location. Am neutral on area. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 10:24, 30 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Checklist[edit]

Before I upgrade this to guide. Some things needed:

  • A drink section is needed – Yes Done as of 2022-03-05 07:22
  • Leave-no-trace camping needs to be mentioned in sleep – Yes Done as of 2022-03-05 06:02
  • § Historic sites need descriptions
  • Camping food should be mentioned – Yes Done as of 2022-03-05 06:25

These would be ideal to be mentioned, but not a must:

  • Abseiling/rock climbing [1]Yes Done as of 2022-03-05 06:47
  • MTBing [2]
  • 4WDing [3]
  • Kayaking [4]
  • Snorkeling and scuba diving [5]
  • Boating – some of the lakes have boating activities that can be mentioned

These don't need to be mentioned, and there's no hurry. A traveler won't benefit much by know these:

  • Education programs [6]
  • Lakes (individual section) – this can be mentioned in boating or kayaking
  • Aboriginal heritage – this is not something many visit Tasmania for, so it is not a must and many archeological sites are often hidden from the public

Might add more to this list. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 05:57, 5 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
